Dad's Update...

Dad's getting better by the day. He's gaining strength and needs physiotherapy, which he is getting right now. He's active and reading magazines, newspapers & watching Television. He's cheerful and looking very nice after putting on some weight and moving to 70kgs.
Thanks to all well wishers for all your calls, hospital visits, calls, cards, flowers and good wishes & prayers which have played an important role and means a lot to us!

On a positive note at work...

Dad's Update..

Dad's rehab commences in the surgical ward from today. He will have physio and efforts will be made to strengthen his body muscle. The good news is that he has moved up to 70kgs in weight from a paltry 54kgs post surgery. He's looking better and fighting his way back yet again. Tests have been conducted to ascertain whether he has any infection in the bone which needs to be ruled out or treated accordingly. He has had no fever since a few days now and is getting back to being his cheerful self.
He's got drains to get rid of his pelvis sepsis which is important to ensure there is no infection within the pelvis. Pls call him and speak with him during 12-2pm and 4pm to 8pm. Thanks to all who called & visited him...

Nice...

Dad's Update...

Dad's stable in Westmead Hospital and has moved into the Surgical Ward with his intravenous antibiotics kicking in and cleaning up the infection which was surgically attended to last week. He's cheerful and in good spirits. His phosphates are stabilising and sugar levels seems to be settling down to more normal levels. He's been speaking with his brothers in India regularly and seems to be getting better. Sanjay plans to speak with Dr Graham Ctercteko & his team on Monday and will get a first hand update from a surgical perspective.
Anju Didi had invited us for Lunch which was nice for Mum as she got to relax with her family members in the afternoon. She sang a lovely song, "ruk se parda utha de zara saakiya" which was a pleasure to listen to and everyone enjoyed it.
Kanika too spent some time with Dad and cheered him up with her teenage talk. Looking forward to the cricket tonight as India are fighting back with a quick five wicket haul against England at Lords.
And another week goes by...

Dad's Update..

Dad is going to go in for a surgical procedure to clean the infection in his groin today. He has had his sodium levels topped up and had some blood transfusion too. He's on triple fluid antibiotics to treat the infection in his urinary tract and the groin sepsis. The surgical team will complete the procedure today and keep him in the High Dependency Ward. He is stable and eating & drinking normally only that he's on glucose drip since last night in preparation for surgery today.
