Oh Kanika, We were Touched!!!

Kanika decided to give us a surprise dinner on our 14th wedding anniversary. We saw Aaja Nachle (Bollywood Blockbuster) over the weekend to celebrate. However Kanika prepared an awesome dinner for us with starters, main course, dessert and our favourite beverages to go with it in a romantic ambience with candlelights and fine music playing. Thank you darling!!!

Wishing Mum & Dad a very Happy Anniversary!

Hi Mum & Dad,
Heres wishing you both a very Happy Anniversary, I am sorry that as I was in a full day conference I could not call you earlier & when I got home after the conference by 0945pm I left a message with Ravan to inform you that I had called. I am aware that Kanika & Yujita had called and wished you and the call got disconnected in between and thereafter your number was not available after that.
By the way I have involved myself with a second project and Amy Black, President of the company had come in from the US to spend a day with us.
I will be in India sometime in January 2008 and will try and make it around Dad's Birthday.
We love you and will continue to love you both for how wonderful you've been and for what you are & we wish you good health and happiness in years to come.
H A P P Y A N N I V E R S A R Y !!!
Lots of Love
Kanika, Yujita & Rajiv

Leaving for a Day Out at Luna Park

We had a lovely day out at Luna Park, one of the amusement parks in Sydney, for a day out organised by one of my school friends's Anjali thru her company, Optus.

Lunch was sensational with Chicken Sandwiches, Juice, fruit & a mars bar. We relaxed in the picnic area and chilled out with general gossip.

It was great fun and we had a nice time. Yujita & the girls enjoyed the rides and Vishal & me enjoyed the beer at the pub that we cheekily had on the pretence of enquring about the Jazz Band performance.

We took videos of the trip but unfortunately the wesite will get too heavy if I upload them.

The local birds also came to say bye to Dada & Dadi!

The Local birds (Lorikeets, Cockatoos & Rosellas) dropped by our front & back garden, that Dad & Mum had so nicely & painstakingly taken care of during their visit to Australia. These particular ones are of The Australian Galah. The Galah is one of the most abundant and familiar of the Australian parrots, found in large flocks, in a variety of timbered habitats, usually near water. It occurs over most of Australia, including some offshore islands, and is becoming more abundant round areas of human habitation. Galahs have a bouncing acrobatic flight, but spend much of the day sheltering from heat in the foliage of trees and shrubs. The voice is a distinctive high-pitched screech, 'chi-chi'. Huge noisy flocks of birds congregate and roost together at night.

Kanika & Friends Surprise Farewell Party for Mum & Dad

Kanika & her friends, Cathrine, Grace & Sophie decided to give Mum & Dad a surprise farewell party. It was really touching to see the way they came back after school and baked some lovely Cake with icing, cookies & mini muffins and decorated the rumpus which they had locked under the pretence that they were playing there. They even bought a small token of their love & affection for their Dadi & Dada (as they called Mum & dad). They sang a made up song... we'll miss you on Merry Chistmas!

Dad & Me Putting up a Picket Fence!

Dad decided to help me put up a new picket fence from beside the garage to my backyard & pool area. He motivated me and infact that was his gift for me! Thank you Dad... What was really enjoyable was not the the fact that you presented me with that but the fun of working together with you and to see the enthusiasm to work on a reasonably tough project right from concept to completion! I simply loved working with you...

Daytrip to Canberra

We spent the whole day at Canberra today. We drove down early morning and stopped for breakfast at McDonalds on the Highway near Goulburn. Mum had hot pancakes, Dad & Kanika had Bacon & Egg Cheese Rolls, Yujita had an apple pie and I had a sausage & egg roll.

We then drove straight to The War Memorial and spent an hour through the wonderful stuff on display appreciating the efforts of Australian armed forces personnel and getting an insight into their historic feats across the world.

We then visited the Australian Parliament and went through a fantastic guided tour throughout the Parliament House which was intriguing.

We later drove past the Old Parliament House, the Lake, Riverside, Telstra Tower and the City Centre.

Kanika was famished so we had to stop for Lunch which was a treat from Dad.. Dad & I had lovely Barramundi & Chips, Kanika had Jumbo Prawns, Kanika had a Chicken Wrap & Mum had a Veg Sub.

We drove back felt nice to have spent a great day in each others company!
