Happy Anniversary Dad & Mum..

Here's wishing Mum & Dad a very Happy Anniversary. I made some lamb cutlets for Dad and Kanika made some profiteroles for Mum &  Dad... 

Thoughts..

I strongly believe that adversities do not make a man frail. They show what sort of man he is. How often in life have I felt that I've been used but you know what? Each time I say what the heck I'm not going to stop being myself and will keep doing the things that give me happiness... It's easy to get into a negative frame of mind.. Its easy for people to forget the sacrifices made for them even if they are silent prayers for their well being but its very difficult for people to change their selfish attitudes attempting to attain peace at the cost of others...What is Peace? Peace is a state of mind characterised by contentment, satisfaction, non-violence. 

Everybody knows internally if they have cheated or wronged.. Such people never have peace and guilt stays with them till their last breath however they pose themselves externally to the outside world to exhibit that they have the finest virtues.

I can confidently say that I sleep peacefully each night & this is my biggest asset coz in moments of need I have stood by my friends, family, colleagues at work, business associates, near & dear ones...   

The week gone by...

Had a busy week with a few stressful moments with a few clients but then tough situations dont last... At least not with me..

I've enjoyed swimming all week mostly at night gazing at the stars and sipping some wine ocassionally which is the ultimate form of relaxation for me. I do turn on the spa every now & then to relax.

Attended Australia's Business Week at Kanika's school where it was a proud moment to see that Kanika & her team had won the award for the best team with the best written report & presented it very well. 

Kanika & I, spent friday evening with Shagun & Sona, had some amazing fish cooked by Shimsha and sat and gossiped till 1:30am. Kanika slept over & I came back. Next morning I had my brekkie with mates which is a ritual I've followed for years now. Came back to see that Shagun had made some lovely idlees for Mum & Dad when she came to drop Kanika back home.

On Sunday, after a swim, I took Dad to Castle Towers for a check up followed by lunch there. Kanika had her vaccination. I had a review for a suspected cyst which could be cancerous... fingers crossed with the ultra sound report... 

Kanika & I went for a walk with Simba.. Later Mum had Ashaji over with Krishan Bhaisahib, who got some nice jalebis which we enjoyed with evening tea.

We all watched a movie at night... I swam in the rain which was fun.. and another week goes by...

Kanika's Party

Hosted a Party for Kanika & her friends on Saturday which went off well with thirty of her school friends coming over. It was a pool party with dancing & a barbecue with soft drinks doing the rounds. 

The last fortnight..

Its been a really hectic fortnight. Had a brand new central airconditioning unit fitted in the house. The pool has been a great source of relaxation as each night I take a dip into the pool gazing at the stars and sometimes even in the rain. The solar heating works really well keeping the water comfortably warm. Dad's been steadily improving with each passing day. This has been his longest stint at home fingers crossed! The team of Nurses, Social workers and physio have been doing their magic on Dad although Mum has played an extremely pivotal role in Dad's well being and deserves credit for being by his side through these troubled times. Congratulations to Nisha & Simon on the arrival of Maya, who seems to be like the most amazing baby from what we've heard from her parents.

Oops I did it Again..

Finally bit the bullet & bought a house. Trying to make it a Home. Its really nice and spread out on one level.

Kanika turns 16 today!

Here's wishing Kanika a super sixteenth with loads of happiness, joy & hoping all her dreams come true & that she rises to great heights making me proud of her.

I wish I can continue to provide her with all inputs to ensure she blossoms into a great young lady & a wonderful being..

I do feel sad that my personal circumstances have deprived her of some sort of stability but assure her that I have & will continue to do the best I can for her without compromising on any front...

Here's to a lovely day & year ahead for my darling Kanika..

Dad's Update...

Dad's getting better as the infection has been treated with antibiotics. He walked around the hospital with me. He's surely getting better.

The first fortnight of Sept

Dad was in some discomfort last week and had to be admitted into Westmead Hospital a couple of days ago as he developed another sepsis which needed to be attended by the surgical team. He was admitted in the Emergency and transferred to the Acute Surgical Ward where he undergoes surgery today. He is on triple antibiotics and will probably need some units of blood to give him better immunity. Sanjay is jointly monitoring the situation with me and hopefully all should be well.

The Fortnight gone by...

Dad has been discharged from hospital and seems to be improving. I hope and pray that he gets better. Kanika and I spent Father's Day at the Armory Wharfside Cafe on the riverside with some friends.

Trip to India

I had a very successful trip to India. I had a very tough agenda but was happy to be able to achieve everything I had planned.
I also met my Friends and spent some quality time with them.

Dad's Update...

Dad had his trial home visit yesterday which went very well. He is likely to come home by this weekend. We are anxiously awaiting his transition back to home...
