Dad's Update...

I am pleased to share with you that Dad will finally be coming home on friday afternoon after spending over two months in Westmead Hospital. The Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Social worker & Community Nurses will be accompanying him to ensure his transition to home from Hospital is smooth.
There are a few niggling issues but we've got to overcome them with a positive approach and ensure Dad enjoys the rest of his life & I will play my part to the best of my ability.
Thanks for all your kind wishes, hospital visits, telephone calls, prayers, flowers, cards & reassuring thoughts & gestures...

This is what my stars say....

Sometimes, the most beautiful flowers can take the longest time to blossom. You may be a slow bloomer in some ways, but never forget that you're uniquely bold and beautiful. Today you're taking the long view, for once. Set some new rules about your own behavior and what you expect from others. Give people some time to realize who's in charge. Your natural leadership qualities are being strengthened now.

This is what my stars say....

You're overcome by primitive urges today. You know what you want, and you know how to get it. It's an understatement to say you're not in the mood to compromise! You're intent on your goal. You don't want anyone standing in your way or telling you what to do. The problem? Standing tough is a sure way to close doors. Find the path to your prize that doesn't involve steamrolling others.

Dad's Update...

The physio has requested for Dad's sneakers which mean Dad's physiotherapy gets more intense which is great news. Everything seems to be going well. He went for a walk with me in the evening to the cafetaria and had a cuppa.
Mum's down with the flu and had fever so she had to stay home and relax. Hopefully she shuld be better today and might go to spend some time with Dad.

Thoughts in my mind....

Do you believe that a relationship will succeed when it has been built on cheating and breaking a family to satisfy one's ego and keeping one's self in good light belittling the other person & maligning him to absolve one's self of being flawed?
Do you believe that living a secret life hiding one's feelings & intentions from near & dear ones is the right way of conducting one's self?
Do you believe that a person in love does not have the right to be loved & respected by his near & dear ones and their family?
Do you believe that when people you love dont reciprocate likewise it is correct?
Do you believe it is right when people dont appreciate you for what you've provided to them and contributed to their development?
Do you believe that sorry is a very difficult word to say when someone has knowingly wronged and doesnt want to right that wrong?
Do you believe that family influences, money & professional wellbeing will give you happiness in the long run or is it personal happiness, values & love?
Do you believe that a person in love has a right to convey his feelings when all he desires is love & respect?
Do you believe that is is correct to love someone secretly and show to your family & friends that you are a saint?
Do you believe that a fair chance must be given to those you genuinely love and respect be accorded to them?
Do you believe that when in need you use someone and when you're done you ignore/abuse them?
I have the answers to all these questions and will write them in my autobiography stating factual representation on each count...

Dad's Update...

Dad's been improving steadily with each passing day. He can now walk without support and is gaining strength. His weight is still in the mid fifties but will increase now that he's on a normal diet. His main line has been removed and his stomas are active and consistent. He is likely to move into rehabilitation for a couple of weeks before he heads home which we anxiously await.
Its been hundreds of trips to the hospital with many ups and downs but finally there seems to belots of bright light at the end of the tunnel.
I will post some pictures soon.

The Week Gone By...

It was a very hectic week but wonderful as I achieved whatever I wanted to in the short time I had as I could not leave Sydney for long due to Dad's illness & my work commitments. Finally, I setup operations in Mumbai, spent some time with my team members and equipped them with all the necessary tools that I believe will ensure that they can be productive and contribute to Hitek Australia's developments.
On the personal front, it was nostalgic to be back in Mumbai after twenty years and to see the changes over the past two decades. Mumbai monsoon were in full swing with rains lashing the city.
It was also wonderful to spend some great time with the Suris & special thanks to them for their fine hospitality all through my stay.
Romal & her team took lots of efforts to ensure my office was ready in time for my visit & I don't have enough words to thank her for everything.
I had Dad at the back of my mind but was happy to be able to speak with him almost every day. Mum & I spoke every day which was comforting. Thanks to Sanjeev & family for looking after Mum in my absence.
I am blessed to have great friends.... This is what I thought as I was flying back home..
It was a successful trip on all counts and I am happy to have achieved whatever I have thru this short trip and to see Dad getting better with each passing day.
I will post some pictures later...

Dad's Update...

Dad's improving with each passing day. He has endoscopy today so was on liquid diet since yesterday arvo. Let's hope the reports of the endoscopy are good. They are doing this to try and identify if there is any internal bleeding in the gastric tract.
I finished work at 115am today and about to sign off and get into bed... Its been really busy off late!

Brekkie today & thanks to Gareth Mccray...

Brekkie went well today as we had our fornightly ritual. It was Robert Cliff's birthday so a cheerio to him. Also born on this day is my friend Anjali, whom I wished a very happy birthday.
I must thank Gareth not just for his kindness to come over last fortnight to my project but for all the plugs he gave me on radio last week which I sincerely appreciate though never expected as I do value his friendship much more..
My Mumbai office seems to be raring to go and is shaping very well. All agreements executed kind courtesy of Romal & Ashit Suri, whom I'm looking forward to meeting soon.
Next week will see my operations moving to the next level with some exciting new things in the pipeline.

Dad's Update...

Dad's definitely improving. He's definitely now simply frustrated to be sick for such a long period but I think the worst is over. I can understand his predicament but the surgery seems to have done him good. He walked with Mum & me around the whole ward today. He's down to 58kgs but will only get stronger hereafter through tender love & care & the team of doctors's charter that's been chalked out for him.
He also had blood transfusion today which will kick up his haemoglobin from 78 to more acceptable limits and do his general well being real good.
I am confident Dad will be better and will bounce back to his normal self in due course of time.
He is generally cheerful though missing a few near & dear ones as these are the times when one really needs them not just in thoughts & prayers but by communicating and sharing some time with him.
My sincere thanks to all who did find time off their busy schedule...

Dad's Update...

I know I havent been posting for a few days as I wanted to wait and watch closely but now I can confidently share with you all that Dad is getting better with each passing day. Both the stomas are active and seem to be working well. He also seems to be getting stronger with each passing day. He wants to come home now but thats not going to happen so soon as he might need a bit of rehab before coming home. Physiotherapy is an important aspect of returning back to normal and he needs to work on his mobility which will nboost his confidence and well being.
I've had an extremely busy week with work and it's been a challenge to balance the two but the fact that I'm still sane and he's getting better  means all's well! Have a super weekend!
