Kanika & Claire spend a day in Sydney CBD

I had promised Kanika & Claire a day in the CBD. We had great fun there. It was fun walking through QVB and then we walked into Supre(Girlie Clothes Shop!!). A stroll down to The Rocks was enjoyable and into the Museum was informative. We had lunch at Mc Donalds and then came straight back to Castle Towers where the girls checked out the cosmetics at Gloss!!! We hijacked Cathrine from her place and then Claire, Cathrine & Kanika did their girlie gossip at home!!!

It was the

Nautiyal's farewell

last night at our place and with a heavy heart we had to bid farewell to a lovely family that touched our hearts and left a lasting impression on us. We did consider them as part of our family.
On behalf of my family I wish them all an extremely enjoyable trip to Dubai and wish them success in their endeavours!

Nostalgic Moments from Dad!

"Day after the Bejing Olympic torch will pass through New Delhi and I am reminded of 1964, forty four years back when I had the privilege of running the Tokyo Olympic torch in Delhi. Bhupinder gave me company running alongside me and also had a photograph of the event. I am just letting my grand children know this since so much is being talked today of this event and sweet memories come across my mind."

Kanika's Holidays Start..

Kanika completed her first term in senior school. She's got good grades and her teachers are happy with her performance. She's got a two week break now during which I will have to spend some time with her to ensure she has a nice holiday.

We'll see a few movies and play some games and probably go out for a few Dad & Daughter days!

Neeraj, Jacci and the kids move at the end of this month to Dubai.. We're going to be losing good friends but thats life!

Cherry had her birthday celebrated on Sunday and we had a bit of a party at Sanjeev & Shuchi's place.

Neeraj, Jacci, the kids & Soubia joined us for dinner. And another week goes by...

Surprise Birthday Party!!!

I was really touched because for the first time in 39 years I had a surprise party arranged and I had no clue of the same. I had gone grocery shopping and asked kanika if she'd come with me to Woolworths... She said she had to complete her assignment and decided to stay back. I left and when I returned and got all the bags back and loaded the fridge everything looked normal. There were no cars parked outside the house so I didnt suspect anything. She then said she wanted me to come into the backyard with my eyes covered so I agreed thinking she'd tidied up the aviary and the backyard. To my surpise all my friends were standing there and they sang the Happy Birthday song! I was immensely touched and felt really nice. We cut the cake, the kids bursted party poppers. Kanika, Anjali & Tiana had decorated the backyard so beautifully with party decorations and hundreds of balloons! We had beers & wines and Jacci got some lovely chocolate brownies and a bottle of wine. Anjali got a lovely cake from Michels Patisserie & strawberries & wicked chocolate dip. Shuchi & Sanjeev got some drinks & snacks for the kids. My day was immediately made coz I felt loved... Thanks Kanika... You did it again :)

Canary Islands

We had a lovely week on holiday staying in Gran Canaria. The holiday consisted mainly of eating, drinking and lounging round by the pool/playing in the pool in the lovely sunshine (whilst back home in England it was raining/sleeting all week), occasionally mum and dad wandered out of the hotel for a walk and we all spent a day out together at a waterpark. Both the kids and the parents managed to make some new friends too. :)
