Extracted from the Constitution Hill Retirement Village News Bulletin

"Thanks to the wonderful generosity of a smiling and rather good looking Indian gentleman, Constitution Hill has a happy, learning group of computer friends who meet every alternate week.

Rajiv Chaudhri is a computer whiz with extensive knowledge. He gives technical advice and consults with large companies and individuals alike on programs, repairs and much more. He is a special advisor for Microsoft, and tests their programs prior to release.

Rajiv attends my son’s shop and repairs and resets computers for him on a regular basis and when having a particular problem myself, I decided to ask him to come to my home and have a look. He has become a good friend of our family.

We spoke about the village and our life here and he was very keen to help seniors to be accomplished computer users. Rajiv has had a great deal of success in Australia and is very grateful for his good fortune. He wanted to provide something to the community that has given him so much. After lots of chatting and organization we began our computer group in April 2010. Rajiv gives his time and expertise free of charge. He has donated a computer for an extremely grateful resident and has mentioned that there will be more to come each month. We sincerely thank him for his continuing generosity."

The fortnight gone by...

Another extremely busy fortnight gone by with. Work seems to be getting better with each passing day. New exciting projects in the pipeline. Mumbai Operations will commence very soon. Office shortlisted, Cisco phones ready, Computers ordered from Dell, Core Team identified, Uniforms ready... Raring to go..
Kanika has gotten pretty busy with her assignments. Today was our dinner at Ribs & Rumps followed by dropping her off for a date with Usher at The Acer Arena. The girls looked awesome & were really looking gorgeous & excited. I felt like a proud Dad as eyes rolled as we walked into Ribs & Rumps in Homebush. Gosh she has grown...
I did manage a few pictures to capture the moment..

The first 14 days of March..

Its been a really hectic schedule at work though immensely satisfying. I have been planning hard on setting up an Off-Shore support team in Mumbai. Its not easy to setup a remote team and manage them remotely as poor management is a fine recipe for disaster.
I have decided to donate a computer every month to charity and no better place to start than the Retirement Village. First computer was delivered & handed over to an Old lady in Banksia in the Village. The smile on her face and twinkle on her eye was very reminiscent of the old lady in Titanic who narrated the story.
Brekkie was fun as usual with a cruise in the pipeline in April & talks of a European Cruise in July this year which will be awesome though difficult to commit to given my schedule.
Looking forward to Dad & Mum coming over in five weeks. I am confident the change will do good to both Mum & Dad.
World Cup Cricket fever is on with my idol, Sachin,  doing really well in an otherwise ordinary team with few sparks translating into good performances from other Indian players.
Kanika is a young lady now who is extremely mature and sensible. I do feel the next couple of years are critical for her and hope to provide her with a stable environment irrespective of my circumstances.
I have got back to my gardening ways as I find it a lovely stress buster even though I believe the best of them all is my visit to C2K Gym & Aquatic Centre.
