Cheer up Dad!

Dad was sad today when he spoke with me from the hospital. I told him that I'd be with him in a couple of sleeps which made him feel real nice. He was given five units of blood as he is having blood loss due to radiation. Hoping his treatment goes well.
Looking forward to meeting him & spending all my time with him.
I Love You Dad!

I'm truly blessed to have such great friends!

"True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."

It's been a great reality check in recent times & I have realised what amazing friends I have... They never let me feel isolated... they were selfless & were always there for me... they put their hand up and offered help not caring about public opinion. They loved me and cared for me beyond the call of duty.

Gareth - for all those invites, referals, testimonials, coffees, brekkies without which life would've been so dull. It was a pleasure attending gorgeous Laura's 21st at the Tav last Saturday and I admire the way you spoke given the circumstances with wit, humour & affection.

Johanna - for giving me fantastic advice and sharing her experiences over the best cuppa & home made pastas & salads I have ever had in my life! Those warm cuddles will remain with me forever.

Damien - for giving me the strength & courage

Robert & Sue Cliff - For being a happy go lucky, fun loving couple with your sons Search & Destroy (Daniel & Jim)!

Brekkie Mates - for all the gossip & fun we share each fortnight

Peter & Linda - for your kind appreciation & support

Ken - For your kind words with your trademark lisp!

Robin - for those beers in your backyard with the occassional barbie

Charli - for all the naughty jokes on & off air!

Scott & Kylie - for your wamth & love..

Anita - for your comforting words & truthful forecasts... and that awesome chicken pate & the amazing food you storm up in your kitchen so effortlessly

Romal & Ash - for being so far away yet closing the gap thru constant communiques. For being so warm, caring, loving & knowing fact from fiction. For knowing what a true friend appreciates and doing just that.

Naresh & his family - for being so amazingly loving, caring & comforting at all times. for that great advice & encouragement. For adopting me in your family & making me feel like part of your family! For dragging me from home to join you for dinner....

Vishy - my good old friend !

Neeraj & Jacci - true blue mates!

Mini - for being honest and humble with me & knowing right from wrong & for all the great time's we've had in the past and in the next week!

Meher - Yep for sure!

And to all those who really stood by me thru thick & thin, I thank thee & thou for being so truly blessed!

"Think where man's glory most begins and ends, And I say my glory was I had such friends."

Courage...

Courage is standing up for what you Believe in without worrying about the Opinions of others. Courage is thinking big, aiming high, and shooting far. It's taking a dream; And doing anything, risking everything, And stopping at nothing. To make it a reality...

Wish Dad all the best and a steady recovery

I bid farewell to my Dad this evening with a very heavy heart. Shalini and I have had the privilege of looking after him and supporting him through his recent illness and operations. He has had a very difficult year and has been through tremendous pain and suffering but I am optimistic that things are going to get better. I am sure it is not going to be easy but I know Dad is a fighter and that he is going to regain his life, his confidence and come back stronger.

Dad I know you can do it and I am with you every step of the way never very far behind. It is now time for you to regain your independence and do whatever you want and enjoy life. You have Mum with you and your brothers and Rajiv waiting in Australia, all by your side and willing you on.

Love you very much and am sure you will be just fine. Let me say that having you here with us was no problem at all and hope you enjoyed your stay at Birmingham. Hope to have you back soon.

Sanjay
