Happy Holi & Easter weekend update!

Here's wishing the entire family greetings for Holi.. The world is really flat because Dad is in Ghanari, Yujita in Chandigarh, Sanjay, Shalini & the girls are in The Canary Islands and we all access the internet to connect with each other!
Kanika & I had a nice first(out of three) week in Yujita's absence, we've been eating out, watching movies, playing Monopoly & on the WII, watching girlie TV programs & cooking meals together to bond exteremely well as father & daughter.
A special thanks to Neeraj, Jaccii, Roro, Nikku, Anjali, Tiana, Vishal, Dada, Soubia, Shuchi, Sanjeev & the girls for being at their very courteous best extending their hospitality in every possible way. We are fortunate to have such nice friends!

Now Airport at Ghanari

Would you believe it?

I came to Ghanari yesterday, 19th March ,2008. To day there were rallies around Ghanari as the Government is planning to build an airport about exactly 100 yards away from our house. The airport will extend from Gagret to Chalet. The rallies were against the Government taking over the land and getting few villages vacated. We, of course stand to gain as we will get compensation for the land which is in our name but not in our possession

Kanika Performs at Darling Harbour

Kanika & Tiana Performed at Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour as a part of the Incredible India promotion and it was kind of Anjali to take care of the girls & their make-up including driving us into the venue.

Neeraj, Jacci & Soubia joined us at the venue to cheer for Kanika and Holi Festivity was in full swing with the Indian Community homing in on this beautiful waterside park to join in with Muticultural Australians and give them a peek of the many facades of India..

We had lunch at China Town err actually in Hay Market in the food court and it was absolutely lip smacking.

Kanika and Tiana played some games at the entertainment centre before we drove back home and end a wonderful day spent with my darling daughter-The Light of my life!

Yujita Leaves for India today...

Yujita leaves for her well deserved holiday to India for three weeks... She has completed all her modules for the Australian Chartered Accountancy and should be felicitated in May this year at an event organised by the institution. She's all excited about Varun's birthday party on 17th March and would be catching up with friends and family at Kotah House/DSOI whichever has been finalised as the venue for the family bash.

We'll miss being with the family but Yujita will update us with what happened there for sure!

Luxuries of India

Having a haircut is a real luxury in India as for almost the cost of a haircut overseas (a little more though) you can have a haircut plus a facial & hair massage with corn removal treatment in a clean airconditioned environment as can be seen from the picture.

Lunch at Barista

It was nice to have lunch with Dad at Barista. I had a mutton wrap, cappucino, Chocolate Excess & was so full by the end of it all. We did some shopping therafter which was a nice respite from my otherwise hectic schedule which started at 0800hrs and ended at 2300hrs.

Dinner at Maurya Sheraton

We went out for a fantastic meal to My Humble House at Maurya Sheraton. We bumped in Brian Lara & Michael Kasprowiz in the hotel lobby. The food was full of oriental flavours and the King Prawns I thought were awesome. Drinking Kingfisher Beer was a nostalgic feeling although we do get it back in Australia. The Chinese Tea was refreshing.
Thanks Mum & Dad for a wonderful evening spent in your company!!!

Dada & Soubia's Welcome Dinner...

Neeraj & Jacci organised a lovely welcome party for Dada & Soubia as they start a new chapter in their lives as husband & wife. As usual the barbie was fired up and some succulent bits of meat & chicken were on the table with accompaniments. We missed Kanika as she was away on her Guides Camp to Avalon Beach.
Jacci & Neeraj specially organised this party on friday evening as I was leaving the next morning for India.
